After 2+ years working in a medspa in Salem, OR, I found myself wanting to get out there, take the leap and go on my own, but where do I even start? I truly enjoy working with aesthetic injectables and the clientele I get to be with everyday. But, what I didn’t know is that I would LOVE IT and want to turn it into MY business. Being married to a dentist, we started brainstorming ideas that would marry the two practices. That is when I stumbled upon bringing aesthetic injectables to dental practices, with a therapeutic outlook of treating the area around the mouth to accentuate the work of cosmetic dentistry. Not only will this bring an increase in patient satisfaction, but it will also provide the patient with an added boost to their confidence. Of course, with therapeutic treatments, cosmetic aesthetics would also be an option.

As I quickly realized there isn’t much out there when it comes to this type of independent contracting, That was the moment I knew this is exactly where I needed to be. Jumping in head first, it is 2020 and why not, I took the leap and started networking with friends and family. Then I really went out and started cold-calling practices to see if there was any interest. As I would soon find out, this is what some dental practices are looking for and I feel like I just stepped into the horizon of something incredible. I am excited to continue on this adventure and see where it takes me. I couldn’t feel more like I am exactly where I am supposed to be and the road is wide open.

The road ahead will be bumpy, as I’m sure there will be a huge learning curve and so many roadblocks, but my goals and determination will get me through. I’ve always found myself to be my best when life might seem stacked against me. I tend to thrive in that sort of environment. So, with the chaos that is 2020, in between momlife, being a wife, homeschooling 3 kids (K, 1st and 5th), working evenings and nights in Urgent Care (aka COVID19 testing clinic), and still serving with the young women at church, I have now added a new hat to the rack. This business is something that I am passionate about and I am thrilled to have you all follow along as we get this up and running. Hang on, it’s gonna be a crazy ride!

Now, back to looking up all the photos of spa design as I’ve just landed my first contract and they are wanting me to DESIGN MY OWN SPA SPACE?!?! I’m still pinching myself. Stay tuned, more to come on that…
