MICRONEEDLING Molalla & Salem, OR

Microneedling, AKA Collagen Induction Therapy, is the perfect skin care treatment to help with skin texture, tone, and laxity. It also can be focused on deep lines and wrinkles to soften their appearance. It is an excellent treatment when you need that extra collagen boost after noticing superficial fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. After a series of 3 or 6 treatments, your skin will be glowing!

We love our SkinPen device as it is the best microneedling device on the market. It’s a focused treatment with excellent results. We utilized iS CLINICAL Youth Serum and ALASTIN Rejuvenating Skin Nectar immediately post-treatment to help with penetration. It absorbs into those open microchannels to deliver the BEST skincare products at a time when needed most. Post microneedling, a Reparative Aftercare Hydrojelly mask is applied, and Medical-grade LED lights, which helps with recovery and expedites results.

Microneedling FAQs

Microneedling is a non-invasive skin and hair rejuvenation treatment that uses tiny needles to stimulate blood flow. The top layers of the skin are punctured with hundreds of tiny needles. The body naturally strives to mend any damage by fabricating collagen and elastin throughout the repair process. When properly administered by a skilled specialist, Fillers and other enhanced-collagen treatments enhance the appearance of skin. Collagen reduction decreases the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles, reduces acne scars, restores volume to damaged tissue, and improves skin texture, firmness, and thickness. The formation of new skin cells occurs through microneedling, which triggers the body's natural healing process. Collagen induction therapy, also referred to as dermal rolling, is a type of microneedling.

Microneedling may be used on any body part, including stretch marks and acne scars on the chest, back, and rear. It's also great for promoting and restoring hair growth.

Microneedling stimulates the production of collagen in your skin. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury, and in turn, this encourages new tissue with a more even tone and texture. It's normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury; microneedling may stimulate our bodies into making new tissues which can help keep us looking youthful as well!

Before the procedure, the patient's skin is anesthetized with cream to ensure their comfort. Then we apply a light layer of hydrating serum to lubricate your skin and make the skin-pen glide smoothly. A microchannel is made in the skin by the device as it slides over the surface. It typically takes under 30 minutes, and afterward, your skin will appear red like that of a sunburn.

Your skin may be red and feel like you have a sunburn for a few days post-treatment, which is perfectly normal. Slight peeling may occur.
Typically you will feel like you are back to yourself about 3-4 days after treatment. It may be necessary to undergo multiple microneedling sessions for those looking to treat wrinkles, stretch marks, severe sun damage, or scarring. Since your skin requires time to recover, treatments are usually spaced four weeks apart. This timeframe in between allows your own body to repair and rejuvenate before the subsequent treatment.
Many patients notice an immediate "glow" to their skin. Visible changes can develop over several days and weeks, but it may take up to six months for best results as new collagen continues its production cycle in your body.
We usually recommend patients receive a series of treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. The best results occur when the patient gets 3 to 6 treatments at every 4-6 weeks intervals depending on their skin type and desired outcome.
